Max has a serious look, but he is seriously a gem! His owner passed away but he had been loved and taken care of. He may be a little shy at first, but he comes around pretty quickly, (sooner if you have chicken). He is great with people, other dogs and even cats. 
Max is housetrained, crate trained (but prefers a bed or a couch), and he LOVES to cuddle up next to you. He really likes company and is a terrific little companion himself. He would be ideal for a retired person or couple, or a family that is not too busy. A canine companion is also on Max's wish list for an ideal home. He walks good on a leash and also doesn't mind at all being picked up and cuddled.
